This policy explains how The Unwritten Archive and its internal operations application, The Unwritten Archive Director, handle information.
Information we process
The public website may receive standard technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time. When an authorized operator connects a platform account, Archive Director may receive an account identifier, display name, avatar, granted permissions, access and refresh tokens, and authorization status supplied by that platform.
How information is used
We use information to operate and secure the website, authenticate authorized accounts, confirm which account is connected, maintain integration status, prevent fraud or misuse, support human review, and keep sanitized security and audit records. We do not sell personal information.
TikTok Login Kit
The current TikTok integration requests only basic, read-only account identity through Login Kit. It does not upload or publish TikTok content. Connecting an account never authorizes publication.
Storage and security
Platform credentials are processed server-side, encrypted at rest, and excluded from browser responses and normal application logs. OAuth state is short-lived and single-use. Access is restricted to authorized operators.
Sharing
Information is shared only with service providers and platforms needed to operate requested features, comply with law, protect rights and security, or complete an authorized account connection. Each connected platform also processes information under its own privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, security, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. An operator may revoke platform access through the platform. Requests concerning access, correction, or deletion may be made through the official The Unwritten Archive contact channel associated with this website.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
